​In partnership with the Pooni Group, Vancouver Canucks Alumni Association, Wickenheiser Female World Hockey Festival, Sport Surrey is working to create equitable opportunities for women and girls to participate and lead in the sport system and working to achieve gender equity in our community. The Jyrki Lumme scholarship works to support educational and professional development opportunities for women currently involved in the City of Surrey’s sport system.

 

Dave Babych Scholarship

Eligibility: 

  • Applicants must be currently registered with a female hockey organization and pursuing post-secondary studies
  • Applicants must be residing within the geographical boundaries of the City of Surrey
  • Applicants will be high-performance athletes pursuing post-secondary studies. These funds are meant to supplement related tuition costs.
